Tomato Sugo for Everything
Published on

When we don’t know what’s for dinner, it’s this. One pot, twenty minutes, and the rest of the week is saved.
Ingredients
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sugar
salt, pepper and fresh basil
Method
Finely chop the onion and garlic and soften them in the oil.
Add the tomatoes, season with sugar and salt, bring to a boil.
Simmer gently for twenty minutes until the sauce thickens.
Off the heat, stir in the basil.
Leftovers go in a jar and keep three days. Or one, if there’s bread nearby.
